A Difficult Place: Film Screening with introduction by Caroline Lucas MP

FILM SCREENING:

Artist Katy Beinart and film-maker John Edwards worked closely with residents of the Phoenix Estate to make this short film on the devastating personal effects of the rise in food prices.

Run by local volunteers, the Phoenix Food Shop works towards making food accessible and affordable for the local community. They are raising money for festive hampers for 50 local families.

This screening will be introduced by Caroline Lucas MP.

This project was part of the University of Brighton’s Ignite (2022/23) community-university partnership programme, which is funded under the Arts and Humanities Research Council’s Impact AccelerationAccount. It was also supported by Phoenix Arts Space and the Phoenix Food Shop.
